1 "Comfort and keep comforting my people," says your God. (Na-cha-mu Nachamu ami yomar Eloheychem)
2 "Tell Yerushalayim to take heart; proclaim to her that she has completed her time of service, that her guilt has been paid off, that she has received at the hand of ADONAI double for all her sins."
3 "Clear a road through the desert for Adonai! Level a highway in the 'Aravah https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabah for our God!
4 "Let every valley be filled in, every mountain and hill lowered, the bumpy places made level and the crags become a plain.”
I met Jesus as my Lord and Savior in 1981 through a supernatural encounter in Geneve, after having introduced to Him by YWAM. They invited me to stay with them and I remained go about 5 years. It was a blessed time,, when the Spirit was poured down on many young and old. I was taught by many wonderful people, such as David Wilkerson, Art Katz, Gaston Racine, but Corrie Ten Boom was a frequent guest and loved to tell us about how Israel was born, but even more about how God demands love and spoke about the courage to forgive and be content.. She had a great admirer, Derek Prince, who shared also the importance of obedience and spoke about the birth of Israel, as he was actually in Palestine when the War ended.. He actually strongly believed that the Jewish people were called to be in their Homeland,, through the prophetic word of the Bible,, and he spoke of their gathering since the 70s. I had no idea then that later on Israel would take such center stage in my spiritual life, along with the great commission. I now know why Corrie would often pray for me and even sound a bit tough. She saw how I hard it is to remain on the straight road. How easy to be deceived, how the Word is true that in the last days many shall be deceived.
"But in my mind I keep returning to something, something that gives me hope - that the grace of Adonai is not exhausted, that his compassion has not ended. On the contrary, they are new every morning! How great your faithfulness! Adonai is all I have, I say; therefore I will put my hope in him. Adonai is good to those waiting for him, to those who are seeking him out. It is good to wait patiently for the saving help of Adonai" (Lamentations 3:21-26 CJB)
I was invited to join the Altar of Prayer as a watchman and intercessor and it is a holy service. No matter the number of years in the service of our Lord, it is still humbling and astounding that our Creator wishes to include us in His plan, despite our history of failing Him. It is a testimonial of His faithfulness, redemption, love and holy righteousness. I thank and bless Him for the Ruach HaKodesh Who reveals our Lord’s unfathomable thoughts and for the believers that we work with along the way. He knows the plans for us and how to test our pride less we stumble. Christ in us, our hope of glory, the fullness of God who fills all in all is far above our understanding. I bow to my Savior, knowing that in His time the Spirit shall reveal more things. How magnificent and incomprehensible are the ways of Adonai; indeed, how much higher are His thoughts than ours and how truly nothing is impossible to Him. No ageism, race, disease, language can keep Him from fulfilling His call for us. Nothing can keep us from the promise and lovingkindness He established through the shedding of His blood. May we keep vigilant and be of good courage as we carefully listen for the Shofar of His coming and help our brethren when they are wounded. Without the love for others that our Savior requires, all words and actions are to our glory. A paraphrase from Corrie also shared from a now dead singer, Keith Green.
